As a designer or entrepreneur it’s a lot of fun to think about what the next big thing is. We all want our idea to go viral. But what if we succeed? What then? What are the things designers need to keep in mind when a user base is doubling every year, the business is dreaming bigger, and it feels like you can’t satisfy everybody? Felix shares his story of joining the rocket ship at Calendly, the tactics they employ to stay customer-obsessed, and some of the challenges they face as they design for a product that helps people schedules millions of meetings every month.

Felix Hu is the Director of UX at Calendly where leads a small team of designers to envision the future of scheduling. Previously, he co-founded the startup Umenta where he built products to help families capture stories of their living elders. He studied architecture at Georgia Tech and practiced at international design firms HOK and tvsdesign for several years before switching to the digital world.
